You've gone and made a mess upon your neon wired dress again
And I've spent my time drifting in and out of all of this like a spiders web, so elegantly
How could I rectify though not for lack of trying any of the callous move I've ever made?
It seems we succumb to ourselves more than anything else, again and again
If only you'd feel the cold-bloodedness through my hands
We could wrestle out of this, we could cut through all the strands of the DNA you left on the sheets
But it seems we succumb to ourselves more than anything else
Go ahead and run away so I can go and blame myself
I blame myself for this
Do you panic when the wind blows?
Are you scared of your friends?
Is it too late to ask if its all just pretend?
Cause I feel like a stranger inside of this skin
I'll never let anyone, anyone in
Like a leech, i will bond to your side
Soak the liquid from your limbs, and release
But it seems we succumb to ourselves more than anything else
Go ahead and run away so I can go and blame myself
I blame myself for this
And so I'll recede into a new body
Fake a new smile everyday
Try a little harder to decay, slowly
And slowly I'll sing, drive myself into madness
Holding tightly to my faith
Push a little harder, let it drain
Like a leech, i will bond to your side
Soak the liquid from your limbs, and release

The whole album is pure gold! Sometimes I just sit down and listen to the whole album and do nothing else. Awesome rhythms, riffs and Courtney's golden voice! <3 Pazi
Nearly a decade after their last LP, the Chicago post-metal trio resurface with a punishing concept album set in an apocalyptic wasteland. Bandcamp New & Notable May 5, 2024
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024
Realistically, I should have bought this album after the first 100 scrobbles of In Reach (Out of Touch), but it's never too late to do the right thing. This has a different atmosphere (and story) than The Lost City, but it's just as good and just as melodic. porcelainheart-
